Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you (the merchant installing the app, “you”) and Review Rabbit (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Review Rabbit, you agree to them. If you’re accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to do so.
1. The service
Review Rabbit is a Shopify app for collecting and displaying product reviews and post-purchase surveys: automated review-request emails, storefront review widgets, survey questions on checkout surfaces, and an admin for moderating and analyzing what comes back. The service depends on Shopify’s platform; features may change as Shopify’s APIs change.
2. Fees and trials
- Subscription fees are billed through Shopify’s billing system on your Shopify invoice. Prices, plan limits, and trial length are shown in the app before you subscribe.
- Your price is locked at subscription. If we change a plan’s price later, existing subscriptions keep their original price.
- You can cancel anytime by cancelling in the app or uninstalling; access continues until the end of the paid period. Fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion.
3. Your responsibilities
- Lawful email. Review requests are marketing email in most jurisdictions. You’re responsible for sending only to customers who have consented where consent is required, and for complying with laws that apply to your store (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL, PDPA, and similar). The app provides consent gating and unsubscribe handling, but the legal responsibility for your sending choices is yours.
- Authentic reviews. Don’t fabricate reviews, review your own products, pay for positive reviews, or selectively delete genuine negative reviews to mislead shoppers. Incentives, if you offer them, must comply with applicable advertising law and platform rules.
- Your content and conduct. You’re responsible for how you configure the app, the content of your email templates, and your treatment of customer data exported from the app.
4. Customer content
Reviews, photos, and survey answers submitted by your customers belong to their authors. You and we are each granted a license to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the service — for example showing reviews in your storefront and our processing of them on your behalf. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, or violates these terms.
5. Data
Our privacy policy describes what we collect and how we handle it. In short: you’re the controller of your customers’ data, we process it to provide the service, and we honor Shopify’s GDPR webhooks for export and deletion.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use the service to send spam, violate others’ rights, probe or disrupt our systems, or resell access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do, or where required to protect the service or comply with law. Where practical, we’ll warn you first.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, add, or remove features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we’ll give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that reviews will increase your sales or that emails will reach every inbox.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
10. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your store’s content, your sending practices, or your breach of these terms or applicable law.
11. Termination
You can stop using the service anytime by uninstalling the app. On uninstall, pending review requests are cancelled and data deletion follows the process in the privacy policy. Sections that by their nature survive termination (including 8–10) survive.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
